Cathy linked to washington dc poetry readings. Google rankings for www.dcpoetry.com:
The top result for “washington poetry readings” (with quotes) is this blog. Baltimore poetry readings really should turn up the i.e. blog first. As of this writing it ranks #11 for that search. Incredibly there is only one document in google’s index with the words “baltimore poetry readings” in succession. And most very bizarrely that document is a sample resume — the second of the five resumes in that PDF. Emily Thompson, presumably fictitious. Filed under: Uncategorized Comments:

i’ve listened now to 4 david bowie albums in a row.
the man who sold the world — his third, 1970 — remains one of my faves
hunky dory — his fourth, 1971 — i also know well and like
diamond dogs — his sixth, 1973 (ziggy stardust was fifth) — i’ve never listened too but like quite a bit
aladdin sane — his seventh, 1973 — also one i’ve never listened too before (tho as with the previous you know certain songs) — not as good i don’t think, maybe after 4 cds i’m getting tired out.
somewhere in here was pinups, he album of cover versions, i’ve also never heard before. and then a double live album or something (called “david live” i think, never heard that one) and then back to albums i know and love: station to station (1976), low (1977), heroes (1978) lodger (1979). will listen to those tmrw maybe…
also a quick trip through another double live LP called “stage” that does songs from these latter LPs — never heard before, very cool.
ah, the pleasures of downloads…
i forgot young americans comes before station to station. it is ok. soulful and sexy.
I’ve never owned a david bowie album. actually I’m not sure I’ve ever heard two consecutive david bowie songs played on any stereo anywhere.
