say, have you noticed that everything about the economy is “good old fashioned” lately. someone on tv will say something like “what we’re having here is a good old fashioned bank run huh huh huh.” like the fact that it’s old timey means it’s not actually happening, in a way. it’s cute for the economy to tank. it’s almost exclusively wealthy people talking about the economy on tv. college profs, non-poor journalists and elected officials. certainly many journalists are poor, but I think most of the ones talking about the economy on tv are not poor.
