arboretum this afternoon. weather was stupidly perfect. a hiphop moment in the dwarf conifers, then locomoted about. some jesusing through fields, observing transitions in the grass. a monocrop patch of dense bluegreen, then some more sticky uppy in the airy, then something else. more than any non-human entity it makes it non-arbitrary for me to live in dc. the geometry more than anything today. there’s no end of the geometry. incessant specificity.
