I got this $13 6-pack of rogue mocha porters, but I've been drinking them like they're budweisers. barely paying attention. I haven't even thought to form an opinion, but that is perhaps a good thing. I want to say it's very solid, a bit of sweetness but not syrupy. It mostly just tastes like a stout. if I didn't know it was a porter, I would just think it was a stout. the mocha is there. I think it's possible that I would describe it as chocolaty even if I didn't know the name of the beer. we'll never know. we can't go back in time and find out. though maybe someday I'll be in a situation where I drink some and don't know it is this. by then I'll have forgotten I ever had this beer. perhaps then we will find out.
